Holymoly you guys, I'm not sure if everyone caught my Insta Story on this day but it was pouring snow and we had to get this shoot done! I couldn't take the cold and I didn't want Leo outdoors, so we went to my happy place AKA Target, and styled us a quick shoot!
Anyways, I'm sure most of you know that I don't actually nurse anymore! It didn't work out how I wish it could have but lets not re-open old wounds. I did however stock up on Nursing Scarves before it not working out and they have such versatile use! The one I am currently wearing was sent to me by COVERED GOODS and it's probably my favorite one! Its such a classy graphic and goes with so much of my closet.
With that said, I am about to tell you all the ways you can use a Nursing Scarf whether you're nursing or not!
Throw it on top of your top and wear it like a scarf or even a poncho! I wore this exact outfit on a date with Chris and he didn't know that it was a nursing scarf! You should have seen his face when I put it on the carseat as a cover.... his mind was blown! haha!
We have a fleece cover for the inside of the carseat which is so great for the cold, but we still use the multiple-use scarves! It's specially great when you don't want pouring snow falling on your baby, or to keep the light out of their eyes from all directions as well!
Shopping Cart Cover!
Leo was all about this! You can see how excited he is about being in the front of the car like a big boy. My heart melts! Any chance that boy can get away from the carseat, he is all over that! And I love that I don't have to bulk around the carseat just so that he doesn't touch the shopping carts. I just threw the cover on and was good to go. I also threw a few of his toys to keep him from trying to grab groceries. It was the perfect nook for him.
Nursing OR cuddling! <<<
Like I mentioned before, My heart broke 10 different ways when nursing didn't work out. Don't even get me started on all the nursing gear we invested in! One of the things I was most worried about was "The Bond" moms talk about when they nurse their baby. Well... one Sunday morning during church, Leo was having a hard time falling asleep. I grabbed the nursing cover from my mommy bag (that I was then using as a burpee. Oops!) and I threw it on like a poncho and cradled him underneath it. It kept us warm and cozy, and kept the lights out of his eyes. From that day on, I always carry a nursing scarf with me! It's a handy item at the movies with baby too!
Mamas' stock up on these! Whoever invented this, is genius!
